The big-name Kennedy who was once pro-life

Whomever President Trump nominates for the Supreme Court, let the confirmation hearings to replace Justice Kennedy begin with this sentiment, so eloquently expressed by a (one-time) pro-life Democrat, another Kennedy:

“Wanted or unwanted, I believe that human life, even at its earliest stages, has certain right which must be recognized the right to be born, the right to love, the right to grow old.”

This was Edward “Ted” Kennedy’s eloquent view regarding abortion in 1971…that is before he decided the supposed Democrat commitment to the most vulnerable was ~~  inoperative.

The senate opens every session with a prayer but I doubt the senate chaplain will ever make even the slightest reference to the right of life. The Senate chaplain is Barry Black, an African American and Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) cleric. (SDA is now perceived as pro-choice”.)

I wish every opening prayer would include the Kennedy quote until a new SCOTUS justice is confirmed, but sadly I doubt the chaplain would be so inclined.
