Davenport Mayor Mikey Matson must be experiencing Petie envy

  • Failed former mayor of a town the size of Davenport is now the Democrat front-runner for president
  • That has to cause some butt-hurt, err Buttigieg hurt for Davenport Mayor Matson*

Matson just wanted to jump from Alderman to Governor of Iowa , and we thought that was rather pretentious. Matson’s campaign centered on his military experience, an unusual feature to most Democrat contenders which he thought gave him some cachet we guess.  His service may have been viewed as exotic even if it was divorced from any substantial responsibility not under the review or direction of others.

Pete Buttigieg is trying to leap from “former mayor” of South Bend Indiana where he had two terms in a decidedly Democrat town all the way to President of the United States. Quite a leap even by Matson standards. Buttigieg’s military experience may be comparable to Matson’s in some pass/fail universe and he is playing it to the hilt as Matson did — the  “go with what you got when that is all you got” strategy. Matson did not last long.

Having been treated with kid gloves heretofore Buttigieg is now on the receiving end* from Joe Biden who has now actually produced something devastating other than to himself. His take on Buttigieg is right on.  The ad Biden produced is set forth  below and is followed by the incomparable Clarice’s ridicule of the left’s “great gay white hope.”

This excerpt is from Sunday’s column by Clarice Feldmann (link below) and seems to accurately summarize “Mayor Pete’s” appeal among the supremely gullible Democrat voters and, simultaneously, the most prominent characteristic of the ‘Butti-gig’ quest for the ‘Big Gig’…meaninglessness.        dlh

Pete Buttigieg seems to have mastered the art of glibly speaking meaningless word salads (an Obama mode).”Sample Mayor Pete quote:

“The consequential moments that we face are moments of great consequence we must face; and when facing those moments we must think of the great consequence behind these faces or we will fail to be great…”

sarcastically: Yup. The consequential moments that we face are moments of great consequence we must face; and when facing those moments we must think of the great consequence behind these faces or we will fail to be great…”

:::crowd cheers:::
