THIS (?) is the “sports” everyone has missed during the Covid lockdown’ ??

  • Uniforms on NBA, NFL and likely MLB to be social justice billboards – but only leftist messages approved so far
  • Where’s the revenue stream in that!
  • Anyone expect that “All Lives Matter” will be allowed?
  • How about: “Respect the Police”; “Graduate High School”;  “Marriage Good for Kids” Right to Life; Bill of Rights; Cancel Culture;

Now these ‘oppressed’ athletes certainly deserve the admiration of all fans!   Not!

Days After Signing $365 Million Contract, Baseball Superstar Kneels During National Anthem

Mookie Betts was traded from the Boston Red Sox to the Los Angeles Dodgers on February 10. He signed an extension worth $365 million over 12 years with L.A on July 22.

Betts received a $65 million signing bonus, the largest in the sport’s long history.
He won the American League MVP in 2018, and he’s a four-time Gold Glove winner. He’s also a perennial all-star and widely considered the second best player in MLB, behind Mike Trout of the Los Angeles Angels.

On July 23, every player from both games played on Opening Day took a knee before the anthem in a show of solidarity. However, Betts (and a couple players from the San Francisco Giants) took a knee during the anthem.

At least there’s a few athletes who have an IQ higher than their uniform number: San Francisco Giants pitcher Sam Coonrod refused to kneel during the national anthem Thursday night against the Dodgers.

According to NBC Sports, members of the Giants took a knee during the national anthem, and Coonrod didn’t join them. Every member of both teams also kneeled before the anthem. The pitcher also didn’t participate in that action. The reason why? His Christian faith. (RELATED: David Hookstead Is The True King In The North When It Comes To College Football)

“I’m a Christian, like I said, and I just can’t get on board with a couple of things that I have read about Black Lives Matter. How they lean toward Marxism and they’ve said some negative things about the nuclear family. I just can’t get on board with that,” Coonrod explained to the media, according to the same NBC Sports report.
