Yesterday the Opt4Better organization held a press conference highlighting its challenge to local elected officials and employees of local government to address the concerns of property tax payers in Scott County. Their press release is posted on the Current Local Issue page above and a link is provided to their organization’s Web site at right. Both avenues will be available on this site for ongoing updates regarding this important matter. Veritas believes government at all levels is too expensive and overall tax burdens too high. Readers are also asked to keep informed about ” Agenda 21 ” adopted this fall by the Scott County Board of Supervisors on a split vote, Supervisors Carol Earnhardt and Bill Cusack opposing it.
