Anybody around here curious about what BO would do with his “”freedom from ever again facing the American people in an election”?
GOP Presidential candidates have been pressed unmercifully by the press to reveal to voters their ideas and plans they would seek to implement if elected. Of course the press has then used these campaign positions and promises to attack the candidates, often even distorting and misrepresenting them. As an example, Rick Santorum has openly expressed his disapproval of contraceptive measures, assuring his audiences at the same time that, as president, he would never attempt to make contraception illegal. No president could properly do anything about contraception, properly understood, without the Congress and the Courts. indeed it would take a constitutional amendment.
However is there any moderately regular consumer of news, especially from the mainstream sources who is not of the impression that, as a result of Santorum’s statements, he would not only ban use of contraception but would actively try to impair women’s health?
On the other hand, is there any reasonably informed citizen who does not rely solely for his or her news on the three main TV networks, their Associated Press-dominated local newspaper like the QC Times, or cable networks , MSNBC or CNN, have any idea of what incumbent candidate, Barack Obama has in mind for this nation if he wins reelection, and “doesn’t have to run again”?
Both sadly and alarmingly, they don’t. Neither the “mainstream news exclusively” crowd nor the better informed news consumer knows.
It is almost certain that America’s adversaries and the radicals within America know much better what our would- be second term president plans for this country.
Russia’s newly elected president Vladimir Putin almost certainly knows Mr. Obama’s plans for nuclear disarmament negotiations as the latter’s cryptically whispered comments unwittingly broadcast by an open mic indicate. Mr. Medvedev said he understood Obama’s plans and seemed quite happy to convey them to his boss, Putin.
No doubt others who will benefit greatly from this president’s freedom from ever having to answer to the American people through an election have received similar assurances, though not revealed by an open mic.
The real money question for America is, “what are those plans, Mr. Obama?” A question for Quad Cities voters and Veritas readers is, “do you know what these plans are, Congressmen Loebsack and Braley, or is Mr. Obama’s agenda as unknown to you as the Obamacare bill was when you voted for it, and, do you even care?”
One added thought: as sanctimonious as our QC Times editorial board is in their pronouncements ,almost invariably in support of the Obama agenda, are they at all curious or interested in the president’s plans if reelected… or in even being a source of honest reporting?” Graphic courtesy Terrellaftermath.com DLH
