Attorney General Eric Holder’s actions to date are bad enough (exhorting black preachers to rile their congregations by falsely alleging voter suppression;; refusing to prosecute
voter intimidation by black groups; attacking states trying to uphold federal
immigration law, etc, etc).
And now this from the Miami Herald: “The Justice Department ordered Florida’s elections division to halt a systematic effort to find and purge the state’s voter rolls of noncitizen voters.” Imagine that, an effort to insure the privileges and responsibilities of citizenship and prosecute criminality. Reflecting on what amounts to Holder’s intimidation of laws insuring voter integrity and the reasons behind it “think low” the Wall Street Journal offers:
As for public opinion, an April 2012 Fox News survey found that a majority of Democrats (52%), Republicans (87%) and independents (72%) support voter ID laws. This is no doubt because Americans understand intuitively that ballot integrity is as important as ballot access to democratic credibility. Everyone’s franchise is devalued if an election turns on the votes of the quick and the dead . . . It’s worse than a shame that America’s first black Attorney General is using his considerable power to inflame racial antagonism.
Could Holder’s own prosecution thuggery and protection of thuggish compatriots in the cause (Black Panthers) be foreboding of the Obama administrations enhanced demeanor in a second BO term? Holder is showing signs of being America’s Lavrenti Berea (the head of Stalin’s secret police). Absurd? Let’s hope we don’t see this proven or the precedent sustained. DLH with RM.
