Roberts a Chip Off the Ol’ Barack

Is it ever too late to beat up on Chief Justice Roberts?  After the Obamacare judicial atrocity, we think not.  This post was written back on June 29th and we misplaced it.

Chief Justice Roberts has been shaking in his robe for 2.5 years now, not wanting to be embarrassed again by Obama after a decision made by the “Roberts Supreme Court.” Who can blame him though? Getting personally singled out over a ruling (Citizens United 2010) in front of your peers and the world during a State of the Union Address by the President would probably scare a person! (As it turns out, it may have been child abuse.)

Chief Justice Roberts was getting creamed by the Liberal media and all of their friends ever since Bush put him up for appointment in 2003. Teddy Kennedy, Joe Biden and other mainstream Democrats voted against his appointment. Nonetheless Roberts was confirmed. As a simple Midwestern average Joe from Indiana Roberts promised to uphold the law and to not Legislate from the bench.

For the first several years Roberts was viewed in disdain by most Liberals but not until the Citizens United ruling was he accused of legislating from the bench. The overturn of McCain–Feingold by Citizens United gave Liberals a towel to cry in. Money from businesses and corporations could flow freely into campaigns.

This has been a major talking point since the Republicans took over Congress in 2010. Mostly because this money has been a major equalizer to big union money.

And here we are today. Almost every legal expert and pundit said that Obamacare was toast, or at least the individual mandate. It was reported that the Democrats had surrogates on ready to rail against the Supreme Court ruling. But for some reason, the entire bill was upheld. The generally liberal voting Justice Kennedy even voted against Obamacare which shocked many people!

But Chief John Roberts stood with the far left. This leads me to believe nothing else than Chief Justice Roberts being scared of Obama. Sure Obama might not be in office to give another State of the Union Address and to smack him down again. But there is obviously a 50/50 chance that Obama will win 4 more years. Roberts is banking on another 4 years of Obama. He put off enforcing the constitution because he doesn’t want to get singled out again during the 2013 State of the Union Address. He was not taking the chance of being humiliated nationally again. He is only concerned about his lasting legacy. You and me are an afterthought.
