The Road to Restoration

The delays in our posting more of the what-fores and why-fores and that what-to-do-nows regarding the election are the result of trying to assimilate more of the  cogent but often divergent analysis out there and trying to reconcile them.  All the facts are not in, and “facts” may be contradictory. However consensus opinion will emerge (it is now barely a week post election) as to the existence of individual factors but weighting them and agreeing on a succinct narrative like most issue involving the vagaries of politics will be fodder for endless debate.  So why bother – –  because getting the lessons right and the prognosis right is extremely important to knowing what to do to about the survival of a vibrant constitutional republic. And in that regard getting the true picture is crucial sooner rather than later.    We welcome referrals to articles that you think do the best job of explaining what happened and what needs to be done.           R  Mall

I appear to need to start thinking about a new username….

Not unless you guys think Romney runs again in 2016? Worked for Nixon, right?

I suppose Romney could try again. But “conventional” wisdom which is often another name for “superficial” says we MUST have a person of color as the nominee and better yet a woman of color and we hit the jackpot with a handicapped gay woman person of color who is pro-choice and wants to raise taxes. That’s the ticket.
