The organizers of Tea Party Patriots have called for a nationwide peaceful protest against the Internal Revenue Service to challenge the government agency’s abuse of power while targeting Tea Party groups.
Most protests will take place at IRS offices around the country at noon on Tuesday. However this call is for Tea Party supporters in this area to protest at the Davenport Federal Building, 131 E 4th Street at noon on Tuesday .
Our protest is not limited to IRS transgressions but various tyrannical policies coming from Washington, including the government’s take over of health care, that we are Taxed Enough Already, assaults on the Second Amendment, government lies and distortions for political gain among other assaults on American freedoms.
We realize this is a last minute call but we are all volunteers with many obligations. Nevertheless we are hopeful that YOU will show up to stand with us in opposition to these tyrannies. Tell your friends, use e-mail and Facebook to get the word out.
Tomorrow — Tuesday, May 21 — Noon –
Protest will be held rain or shine – weather forecast is 81 degrees and 20% chance of rain.
Bring your own appropriate signs but no bull-horns please.
