These messages from the nation’s preeminent non-sectarian pro-life groups ask for phone calls or e-mails today — but do not give up if you read this late, anytime prior to 8:00 AM Tuesday could be helpful.
We have a chance to ban what by any un-jaded understanding amounts to infanticide. The process itself will serve to expose the egregious law that Roe v Wade and Doe v Bolton imposed on the country through a federal court – the US Supreme Court. It will also further expose the associaion between the Democrat Party and the abortion industry.
The bill and its urgency is explained in the message from Americans United for Life asking for and facilitating e-mails. The link below this paragraph is from the National Right to Life Committee (NRLC ) regarding the same bill and asks for phone calls now. That should be the priority approach but e-mail if you cannot get through. Both organizations provide suggested verbiage as part of their links to e-mail / phone numbers. It took me about 60 seconds to e-mail and about one minute to dial and leave a message with the Congressional office receptionist. Please consider forwarding a link to this post to your lists. R Mall

Tomorrow morning, the House of Representatives is expected to vote on H.R. 1797, a bill which would prohibit abortion after a child reaches 20 weeks gestation. This bill will both safeguard unborn children and take an important and necessary step toward protecting the health and safety of women from the dangers inherent in abortion.
There is substantial and well-documented medical evidence that an unborn child by at least 20 weeks gestation has the capacity to feel pain during an abortion. It is also undisputed and universally accepted that the risk to maternal health from abortion increases as gestation increases.
Legislation prohibiting late-term abortions both respects the right to life of the unborn child and seeks to protect women who could die or be harmed from abortions at or after 20 weeks gestation.
The United States is one of only nine nations that allow abortion after 14 weeks gestation. The United States joins the company of China, North Korea and Canada as the only countries in the world that permit abortion for any reason after viability.
This against what an overwhelming majority of Americans believe regarding late term abortion. Recent polls reveal that 63% of all Americans—including 70% of women—support a 20-week limitation on abortion.
Your help and support are critical as we take on the abortion industry and its high paid lobbyists and fight for the unborn and for women.
