Why Bother?

Here we have the latest from the Scott County Republican leadership. What should be the  organization’s portal to education and advocacy, its Website,  has not had a news post since June 20th, over six weeks ago. Its blog site, The Right Side of Iowa, linked from the organization’s homepage, has also not had an entry since July 2. The irresponsible oversight from the top is nothing new.

Adding insult to injury, at the May Central Committee meeting we were told that “in boxes” would be made available to CC members to facilitate feedback from grass roots Republicans. Now well over ten weeks since the announcement that it would be forthcoming, still nothing. The Web service provider is Victory Enterprises . . . hey  . . . need something up and running — call Victory Enterprises!  Need another quote because they are too expensive or can’t handle it, well mañana.

Public advocacy  . . . what’s that?

Our outreach  . . . talking to ourselves on Facebook and a plastic elephant . . . convincing voters of  ????  And if you saw the hard-hitting literature at the SCRCC booth at the Mississippi Valley Fair, well you probably would make a beeline for the merry-go-round for some real excitement.   If it were not for outside groups there would be virtually no political advocacy in Scott County in support of Republican principles. Unfortunately most of the outside organizations advocating their views in this area are Democrat oriented.  But hey, Scott County leadership is whipping the rest of the congressional district into shape!

Summer doldrums ? . . .  our collective ass . . . Obamacare, Obamanomics, immigration, filibuster, political scandals.  As regards the August recess . . . federal legislators will be in the district . . . and  the left will not be absent or silent.   R Mall
