While President Obama may be a laughing stock to both our nation’s friends and enemies alike, he is not a laughing matter, as Mr. Caruba so accurately notes . Occasionally, however, I believe it’s good to take a breath and try to enjoy what humor we might find in this otherwise dark and dangerous situation this president has put this country in. Recent events have inspired the following satirical take on the man who was once revered as “the Messiah”. Here, in one view, is what he has now become:

Veritas has learned of unconfirmed reports that Missouri State Fair officials have issued a formal invitation to President Obama to appear at next year’s fair as its featured rodeo clown.
A statement by Fair officials is supposedly planned for release in the next few days: “Based on his performance as president throughout the past four and a half years, and especially the past couple of weeks in regard to the Syrian debacle, President Obama has proven his unique ability to entertain gullible audiences in a non-serious way. It is the State Fair committee’s unanimous view that Mr. Obama is a World Class rodeo clown and we would be privileged if he is able to accept this invitation”.
The White House meanwhile has, according to our sources, denied reports that it has been inundated with similar offers from around the world in recent days. Some of the invitations have suggested that if the president is unable to appear, it is hoped that he would do as he has in the past, and have Susan Rice or John Kerry, both of whom have proven to be accomplished practitioners of the rodeo clown profession, appear in his stead.
Also, rumors circulating on capitol hill are saying that sources close to the president have been in contact with a QC area TV anchor who, during the 2012 election campaign, was reputed to have “unprecedented access” to the Administration (some may recall that that TV personality was actually granted a personal interview with President Obama). These rumors indicate that the President is considering the Missouri Fair offer if he will be permitted to wear a George Bush mask. DLH
