. . . his lips are moving.
Not long ago that would have seemed to most of the country to be a trite, bitter, maybe even mean spirited little joke by “loser” conspiratorial conservatives. More and more it seems to be the national lament. Pity the late arrivals to our party.
A recent poll by CNN / ORC (released Nov. 25th) found that 53% of Americans now believe that Obama is not honest and trustworthy. A poll of just millennials (18-29) released yesterday by the Harvard University Institute of Politics indicates that of the 18-24 group, 52% would vote to recall him if that were possible (47% of the entire cohort would do so). The Harvard study also indicates that 57% of the millennials disapprove of Obamacare.
Could it be that the youthful heads full of mush have been mugged by reality and no longer think big government is a big friend? The poll also shows that they overwhelmingly oppose the government collection of Web and phone activity information. Something else Obama lied about to them, saying he would curtail such activity.
There is lots of other fodder in the polls for Republican strategists to make use of. Will they effectively . . . staking out a difference . . . delineating responsibility? Republican legislative leadership seems more intent on saving Obama’s bacon as regards fixes for Obamacare and fostering continued Democrat political dominance through immigration “reform.” Any number of other deals are in the works to show current Republican leadership’s heart felt willingness to compromise ) above all else) and not be seen as obstructionists.
