There are six individuals running in the Republican primary for three positions available on the general election ballot for the Republican Party.
Diane Holst has impressed us as having extensive knowledge of the workings of county government and one who has stood up to hold that government accountable to tax payers. She was part of the fight to stop an overbearing “sustainability” plan that we believe will haunt property owners as it becomes implemented. It has the many trappings of Agenda 21 and she was there to try to stop it. Implementation will be an assault on property rights while empowering bureaucrats. We support Diane Holst and hope you will.
Carol Earnhardt and William Cusack are incumbents who voted against the proposal and we think they deserve support on that basis. The other candidates, if they have addressed the matter and oppose its implementation, have not made it known to our knowledge.
