Cruz, Perry and Paul — Stick to Your Guns

Big Ethanol is a boondoggle — Court populist opposition

The Hill has an article today suggesting Ethanol is explosive for Cruz , Paul (and Rick Perry). The article  presumes that more Iowa Republican caucus voters will be motivated by some bind to Big Ethanol as opposed to a beef with food prices. Our advice – keep your  generally populist (nationwide but also developmentally so in Iowa) economically sound and increasingly environmentalist position of running against ethanol subsidies and mandates.  The devotion of so much productive Iowa land to corn ethanol production, is ethically bogus as well.

Grassroots Iowans pay for the boondoggle like everyone else —  the superficial appearance at the pump of being  cheaper than regular gas is over paid for in a combination of food prices, in environmental costs, in federal and state tax breaks and the inefficiency of the product in the gas tank as mileage suffers compared to the same volume of pure gas.  Don’t lose your appeal to the rest of the country for an unsure and unnecessary presumption about Iowa.

One Response to Cruz, Perry and Paul — Stick to Your Guns

They will. They are the only three that can be trusted anyways. Speaking of leaders we can trust, Senator Paul’s event was pretty big the other day. Like so big I got in line to meet him, went outside because it was so long hoping to catch the tail end, ended up talking to several people outside and boom it never happened.
