To sort of paraphrase Jim Geraghty, a conservative stalwart writing for National Review who responded to a reader calling him to task for saying something less than flattering about certain Republicans, we set forth the following:
We are not going to run every post through a filter to determine if it helps reelect Candidate R (even though we prefer Candidate R, albeit in a hold your nose and vote sort of way). We are not editing this site to ensure it never contradicts the preferred messaging of the Republican Party establishment.
This site is about keeping and moving a conservative brand and agenda in the Republican Party. Part of that involves challenging those who are opposing or damaging the effort, whether or not they call themselves conservative, or Republican. R Mall
