Ernst’s Less Than Energetic Messaging

Needs to personally show emotion directed at Braley’s extremism

“Where are the ads?”
An appropriate question. Where are the honest and effective ads exposing “Bruce Almighty” and his utter contempt for Iowa values in favor of the trial lawyer lobby and the corrupt leadership of the Democratic Party. I would even be grateful if Joni Ernst would not follow the advice of the establishment GOP and stop pandering to the left.

When Colonel Ernst revealed she was “sexually harassed” during her time in the military in an interview with Time, I think she’s mistaken if she thinks that endeared her to “moderates and Independents”. I wonder if she even realizes that ordinarily reliable Republican voters were, at the very least, embarrassed by her comments, as quoted by the Huffington Post:

“I had comments, passes, things like that,” (OOH!! the humanity!!!) Ernst, a lieutenant colonel in the Iowa National Guard, said. “These were some things where I was able to say stop and it simply stopped but there are other circumstances both for women and for men where they don’t stop and they may be afraid to report it.”

“Ernst said her personal experience is why she supports taking sexual assault cases out of the military chain of command, a move many Republicans and the Pentagon oppose.

“It is quite possible that I’m going to get push-back from people that I hope to have as Republican colleagues in the Senate, and from military leaders also, but I’m not doing this to go against them,” Ernst told the Des Moines Register . “What I am doing is saying: ‘This is a problem. It has not been resolved in the past couple decades. If we were handling it properly in the military, we would not have the issues that we have today.’”

I wonder why Joni thinks she “might get pushback from…Republican (s)…in the Senate, and from military leaders”?

If she doesn’t know, I fear we have another failed establishment offering.

Or maybe she thinks that relating her own horrifying “personal experience” at the hands of all those sexual predators, and her conclusions that her fellow military commanders are incapable of handling more serious situations than hers will endear her to all those Braley supporters. Dream on, Joni!                  DLH

They need to stop the VA commercial (good ad but only appealing to 15-20%) and run Bruce with his buddy Barack all day and night. Two peas in a pod. Two idiots on a sinking ship. BHO only has a 38% approval rating, run on it morons. Tie Bruce running off to fundraisers with BHO running off to fundraisers. This isn’t that hard.

When are the “Veritas Pac press passes” going to be issued? You guys are media as much as these other blogs that get passes. I’ll ask any question you like.

We would like to do more original reporting along with our commentary (which also serves to report what others are saying).

Ms. Ernst, what’s a nice Lt. Col. like you doing in …. oops! Sorry …as a great Democrat general must have once said, “War (on women) is hell”
