Today is three weeks after the last partisan candidate was determined for the Scott County General Election Ballot. It is two weeks before early voting begins in Scott County. As of noon today there is nowhere near a complete posting on the Scott County Republican Web site of the panoply of Republican candidates. There is no contact information for volunteers, donors, or voters to conveniently contact candidates.
The latest “news” item on the site (8-15) is approaching one month old. Ho hum, not much going on these days about our candidates or to say about Democrats.
The latest blog posting on “the Right Side of Iowa” (8-21) is three weeks old.
The Twitter link is non-functional
The latest Flicker post is a couple of years old
Facebook postings go days without a new entry.
The “mail box” feature promised some 16 months ago is still missing.
The official electronic portal to the community for Republican interests is a wasteland.
Republican candidates need your support now! If you are interested in supporting Republican candidates you can find them by viewing the contact information on our Scott County Ballot Page here. Look for articles in support of conservative Republican principles and which take on the liberal Democrat mindset throughout these pages.
PS We are looking for best guesses on how many Republican candidates will display a Republican affiliation on their yard signs and whether Republican affiliation will be significantly prominent on general campaign literature. Of the 20 or so Republicans listed on the Scott County ballot who are running for partisan positions we guess four will have an indication of party affiliation on their yard-signs and six on all of their general campaign literature.
