We agree with Rush Limbaugh . . . Republicans need to quarantine Christie.
The Obama administration admits that states have the right to have their own quarantine laws but Obama pleads with states not to do so , and Republican New Jersey Governor Chris Chrisitie’s response? He ignores the 21 day observation standard he set and sends an at risk traveler on her way. Another symbolic example of walking hand in hand with Obama, at election time, adding to Obama’s gravitas.
By the way, we see that an Ebola virus can live fifty days on a glass surface. A controlled experiment indicating so was reported in the Daily Mail of London. The study showed the showed the greatest longevity at 39° F — which we note is within the range of recommended refrigerator temperatures. Ebola is not simply a tropical disease. Read the precautions recommended by the FDA for your refrigerator as regards Listeria which survives in your refrigerators temperature. Then think about cross contamination and Ebola. How many times a day are the people in your household in and out of the refrigerator? Preparing a meal for the family, for company, or grabbing a snack makes for a lot of proximity and opportunities for the spread of any disease. Then its off you go to work or school or the shopping mall. How’s that marinating dish looking?
And Governor Christie withdraws the legitimate quarantine hold on a newly arrived person from a country experiencing an Ebola outbreak. Health care “professional” or not, whether or not symptomatic upon arrival, having left the affected area only hours previous due to the speed of air transportation she is left to go her merry way.
The actual risk of spreading Ebola may be very very small in such manner, we even stipulate that it is, but we get back to the “abundance of caution” argument the CDC uses for so many other attempts to control our lives for far far less worrisome matters, and we wonder.
Sharyl have your brakes serviced by a reputable mechanic . . . it’s been a spooky term and a half
When it comes to the increasingly intense tyranny of the Obama administration, words like “creepy”, frightening”, “terrifying”, etc. are way too mild.
Sharyl Attkisson’s book Stonewalled is likely to reveal things that are happening now which as recently as 6 years ago, the overwhelming majority of Americans would have declared “couldn’t happen here”!
Her book will have legs, so ignoring it won’t do the job. So wait’ll the Left’s media machine gets cranked up. We won’t recognize Ms. Attkisson when they get done viciously attacking her.
No chilling talk of separation of church and state here
Souls to the Polls – dutifully reported by NPR National Public “Radio” After Sunday Service, Georgia Churches Get Souls to the Polls.
This year, for the first time in Georgia’s history, some polling places are open on Sundays. This Sunday – DeKalb County’s first Sunday voting – Pastor William Flippin, Sr. urged his congregation to head straight to the polls right after service . . .
On the bus, Evelyn Jackson of nearby Ellenwood said she’s voting this midterm because something has to be done about the rampant joblessness. Georgia has the highest unemployment rate in the country, and Jackson says you can’t trust a Republican to fix that.
“Republicans … they care about money, and they care about people in their echelon. And they don’t care about people who are lower middle class or poor,” said Jackson. “I know people, there’s one of the ministers, who’s been out of work for, like, three years.”
When the buses arrive at the polling place, a stream of other worshippers from other black churches converges with Piney Grove.
In Houston, the lesbian Mayor has another way to “involve” religion . . . subpoena sermons that may not be exactly supportive of gay marriage in the city.
In Georgia, probably no need to instruct the congregation on how to vote before they ship the “folks” off to the polls. They have been doing that for decades.
They can’t bring themselves to say “vote for Frank Woods”
There are some interesting Iowa State Legislative ads currently running. One is an anti- Ross Paustian ad we have seen a couple of times on KWQC paid for by the Democrat Party of Iowa and authorized by his opponent incumbent Frank Wood. After a bunch of crappola of supposed Paustian policy sins the action item at the end of the ad is vote against Paustian, and in those words. You do not see that often from the candidate or Party when they run ads. Indeed we do not think we have ever seen it. Usually ads are built around or at least conclude how candidate Y is better, usually with a closer of “vote for Y” or something like that. Wood and his policies must not be too popular to go after nice guy Ross Paustian that way, never even asking for a vote for Frank Wood. They must not have been able to get one of their attack dog groups to run the ad.
Kudos to Mark Ross for a strong close
After a series of low information and even redundant postcards that have dominated Iowa Republican legislative “efforts,” Mark Ross Republican candidate for Iowa House District 93 apparently wrote and produced his own radio ad. It is both informative and aggressive – what a candidate needs to be going against a multi-term incumbent. Heard on WOC Talk Radio and going by memory, the ad calls Phyllis Thede out for lying about Ross’s business. He states his qualifications including holding a CPA and an MBA which does not appear on the post cards we received. He also accuses Thede of her native Chicago’s political ways including tax and spend. There were no doubt other nuances to the ad done entirely in his own voice. Our impression after the one hearing was well done.
