The House vote on the trillion dollar “CRomnibus” bill has been delayed. Drudge Report has links to timely wire reports. The matter could be in doubt. Calls to oppose it unless there are proscriptions on any funds being used to implement Obama’s executive orders providing amnesty for illegal immigration are still in order . Our Legislative Links on the page bar above will get you to your and other key House members across the country.
Speaker Boehner’s message phone lines are as follows. We called and reminded him of the mandate from the election and implored him to do his duty and protect the Constitution. Voice phone — 202.225.6205 FAX: 202.225.0704
Reading into reports on the CRomnibus bill we see mention of provisions for financial regulatory changes (Dodd Frank) and campaign finance reforms. How is it that those items, anathema to some Democrats, managed to be included but restrictions on the Department of Homeland Security implementation of Obama’s executive orders could not be? How is it that Obamacare was largely fully funded but no bargain was struck to stop Obama’s executive orders?
Why have not Democrats been put in the position of deciding between not shutting down government (their choice) and things like Obamacare in order to advance Obama’s immigration executive orders? What is more important to Democrats? Jobs for constituents or jobs for illegal immigrants?
Why are Republicans insistent on certain reforms that could wait when a clear and present crisis exists regarding separation of powers? Why couldn’t Republicans have given up on those non-emergency reforms and other non-essential funding and tax matters Democrats do not like in order to get immigration executive orders defunded?
TEA PARTY PATRIOTS provided the following list of Republican Congressman to call and implore them to deny any funding for executive amnesty. I picked one to call, it only took a minute, and encourage you to do so as well (besides swamping Boehner at 202-225-6205)
Yesterday, nearly 70 Republicans supported an amendment submitted by Rep. Mick Milvaney (SC) to the Rules Committee that would have stopped funding for the President’s executive amnesty. The Rules Committee refused to include that amendment in the rule set for a vote today.
Moments ago, the following 53 Republicans voted for the rule and to advance the CR-Omnibus to final debate after they vehemently pleaded their case for the amendment yesterday. Essentially they have given in. One outgoing Congressman, Kerry Bentivolio even changed his vote at the last minute from No to Yes to ensure the rule passed. Mick Mulvaney, who submitted the amendment even voted to move the CR-Omnibus to final debate.
Call these 53 now and tell them not to vote to fund the President’s executive amnesty!

Kevin Yoder (R., KS) could be added to this list. He ran as a big conservative (“I’m a Yoder voter” was his slogan) but voted to move the bill to a final vote. I’ve e-mailed him to assure that I’m no longer a “Yoder voter” if he votes for this…and I personally know 7 other Republicans who feel the same way.
