Be concerned, be very concerned

  • Are Congressional  Republican Leaders looking feckless when not incompetent?
  • Are Obamacrat policies of pettiness and appeasement making conflagration in the Middle East more likely?

Reading these two articles from the likes of John Hinderaker, a principal at PowerLine and the estimable Clarice Feldman at American Thinker one is compelled to the affirmative. Be concerned , be very concerned about the results of appeasement on internal and world dynamics

 Hinderaker writes:

It is almost unbelievable how badly Congressional Republicans have botched their opposition to President Obama’s illegal executive amnesty and the funding of the Department of Homeland Security. . . .

it’s hard to blame the Democrats for exulting. They were in a corner; they had no cards to play; the voters have ejected them from the majority in both chambers; their objective was to keep alive a patently illegal program that had already been declared so by a federal judge. And the Republicans still couldn’t manage to pull out a victory.

There is more commentary  to flesh out his conclusion available here.

It’s not just about Jerusalem, it is also about Rome

The nut cases that rule Iran cannot be allowed to have nuclear capabilities. No measure of liberal  “what right do we have to interfere” nonsense will actually protect western culture.  Obama’s policies have undermined stability in the region in favor of Islamic terrorist movements, but their appeasement of Iran advances that more industrious group of Islamic extremists to the level of threat beyond any mere concern about communists who after all officially only have one life to live. Israel will do what it must to try to protect itself from repeated threats,  but if  Western cultures have any reason to survive they must stand with Israel strategically.

It is sad how liberal education has produced such witlessness about current events and past calamities and their causes.

Clarice Feldman in her post Bibi Selassie: Dotted Points of Light writes of the historical analogy of what surrounds the upcoming visit of Israel Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu.

  • An historical analogy  (Haile Selassie’s address to the League of Nations).
  • Sanctions that are “Intentionally Inadequate, intentionally badly applied”
  • How Desperate is the administration to Shut Bibi Up?
