Just say’n

Notice to readers — we are more than willing to beat a dead horse on a ship that has sailed.

Rush raised something today on his radio program, albeit tongue in cheek, but which could still challenge liberals for a cogent response. Consider a scenario in which Obama finds rationale (in his own mind) for ignoring the 22nd amendment and running for a third term in ’16.

Rush, needling liberals, assumes that late in the campaign Hillary’s candidacy collapses with new revelations of wrongdoing. Too late for Pocahontas Elizabeth Warren to run. Obama would claim to step in out of necessity, with no other viable Democrat available, to protect all of the gains, the protection of the middle class, women’s rights, protection of the environment, peace in the Middle East with Israel gone and Iran “stabilizing” the region, a recreated Soviet Union which presents a neat balance of world powers, all achieved during Obama’s too short two terms. (we’ve added to Rush’s scenario with the list of “achievements”).

As Rush notes, “what would the GOP do?”

Nothing for fear that it would hurt them in the ’16 campaign!?

What would the Court do upon Obama’s reelection / assumption?  It could find that no one had standing to bring suit because they could show no injury! The people spoke and Obama won!  You can’t walk back the peoples will, the disruption would be too onerous. The Court cannot inject itself into these political questions don’t you know!

As Rush also notes, the media would fully support BO’s action and work aggressively to eliminate the “moderate” GOP nominee.  The media could be expected to denigrate any objection as based on a narrow doctrinaire reading of the Constitution.    DLH

Rush still relevant? 🙂 a racist slob, still in denial he was/is deeply in love with Bill Clinton? not that there’s anything wrong with that?
I think you guyz are getting just a little desperate now. You were not able to nitpick Obama out of office. Now Hillary is set to win. (She’ll use Ken Starr to recommend her in ads).

“a racist slob”? I’ve heard that from other poorly educated, ill-informed lefties. They often add how much they deplore “name-calling”.

With the emphasis on ‘getting re-elected’ no one seems willing or able to do much of anything !!! If they’re not worried about 2016, then it’s 2018, etc.

WAY past time for serious term limits.

I agree. Many of the problems with government would go away with term limits. The politicians convince people that more will come their way if they are just returned to office perpetually. It is also one of the reasons that party affiliation means so little.
