The Muslim exemption as regards free speech

Our new Attorney General may want to initiate an investigation into law enforcement in Garland, Texas. She is very likely to find “excessive force” was used. The security officer certainly could have negotiated a mutually agreeable solution to this little spat. After all, there was some “Prophet slandering” goin’ on.     DLH

Let’s sue the bastards

If Congressional offices qualify for special treatment under Obamacare as “small businesses” (see previous post) shouldn’t  we be able to sue them directly as businesses?  All manner of grounds come to mind that they are otherwise exempted from — false advertising, financial injury, wire and mail fraud and the like.  And shouldn’t the personnel including the titular head also be subject to personal liabilities and criminal charges just as is the case for others involved in business?   Insider dealings, false claims, conspiracy, and oh how the list could go on.   R Mall

All  this offendin’ has gotta stop

Well, of course, this makes sense. “Safety reasons”. Sure.

Boca event featuring anti-muslim speaker canceled for safety reasons

Any group or individual, whose art or opinions, or religious beliefs have the potential to “offend” the sensibilities of certain factions of the religion of Islam are going to find it virtually impossible to contract a venue in which to exhibit their art, debate issues they feel are important and timely, or profess their beliefs.

Safety issues, dontcha’ know? The offended may get really nasty about it. And while we believe in free speech and all that, you know, let’s be realistic…   DLH

Sample letter to Congress on Iran nuclear treaty

The Corker-Menendez Iran nuclear review bill emanating from the Senate should be opposed on principle and for practical reasons. If you oppose a terrorist state like iran from achieving nuclear weapons the bill is weak because it allows for defective negotiations to be finalized and implemented “on the cheap” with out sufficient approval as called for in the Constitution. That is the practical and Constitutional principle of opposition to the bill I hope you also share.

As a House member and a person sworn to uphold the Constitution this is also your opportunity to require the Senate to adhere to its Constitutional job. At the very least the proposal should be amended to force the Senate to treat any Iran deal involving nuclear weapons capability as a treaty, as it is a matter crucial to the interests of a freedom loving world less threatened by the terror of nuclear weapons from a terrorist state.

By the way —

Way to go Boca Republicans on your choice of speaker  Geert Wilders even if the venue played to stereo type and was one most likely to wring its hands.  I am sure a bastian of First Amendment sensitivity like one of the colleges in the area would be happy to host the event. Maybe a church not concerned about how those Christians being killed by Jehadists maybe didn’t have it coming for well, being Christian. Best yet, a Catholic college –  they have no concerns about who they offend even among their adherents!   R Mall

“titular head”!? yay, new one off the RNC presses. what sickening bias.

yeah, let’s go back to denying coverage for mercenary reasons of Repub. donors.

    Hillary or Liz wins.

Anybody wanna take a guess on how many “White House/DOJ officials” will be at the funerals of the slain Mooslim cartoon freedoms fighters? They sent 2 to the “Gentle Giants” and 3 to Freddie “criminal record from here to Chicago” Grays funeral. None to the NYPD officer killed last week.

And BREAKING 2 officers killed in Mississippi tonight. I am sure Mr. Silverman will be very pleased with this news.
