“A close adviser to Pope Francis tweeted that the Pope was, in his words, “exploited” by those who set up what the CBS 2 source says was a “meeting that never should have taken place.”
No surprise here. One only wonders why it took the Vatican so long to claim that poor, humble Francis was exploited by crazy religious zealots. After all, this is the kind of thing that could sour the fawning relationship the media and leftists everywhere have for His Holiness.
It is not that the Vatican or the Pontiff minds being “exploited” for political purposes. In fact , this “humble” man seems to revel in the adulation he receives from the worldwide left for his strong, if willfully misinformed support of the “climate change” hoax, and for his politically-driven affection and fellowship with President Obama and his radical Marxist agenda.
Ms. Davis who apparently sought Papal support for her religious-based stand against same sex marriage, will be lucky if the Vatican doesn’t bring some sort of legal action against her.

Vatican Source: Pope Blindsided By Meeting With Controversial Kentucky Clerk
CBS) — Chicago Archbishop Blase Cupich is on his way to Rome tonight. Before he left, he spoke out for the first time on that controversial meeting between Pope Francis and Kim Davis, the county clerk from Kentucky who refused to issue same-sex marriage licenses.
Cupich in essence told CBS 2 Chief Correspondent Jay Levine not to read too much into it.
A highly placed source inside the Vatican claims the Pope was blindsided.
The Vatican has since tried to distance Pope Francis from Davis. Vatican spokesman Rev. Federico Lombardi said the pope’s meeting with Davis was not an endorsement of her decision to refuse to issue same-sex marriage licenses.
There is more to the story, with more twists and rumors typical of Vatican intrigues. The truth is a long time in coming if at all. I would believe a definitive statement from Ms Davis. In the mean time, consider the Vatican as a black box, no one that was not inside knows for sure what goes on.
Well, well. Looks like Il Papa wasn’t “blindsided” in some meetings. No exploitation here. Reckon this can be construed as an “endorsement” of anything? Incidentally, the Pope did spend all of 15 minutes with the Little Sisters of the Poor who are fighting for their religious freedom. Were there “hugs” all around in that one?
(CNN) “The day before Pope Francis met anti-gay county clerk Kim Davis in Washington last week, he held a private meeting with a longtime friend from Argentina who has been in a same-sex relationship for 19 years.
“Yayo Grassi, an openly gay man, brought his partner, Iwan Bagus, as well several other friends to the Vatican Embassy on September 23 for a brief visit with the Pope. A video of the meeting shows Grassi and Francis greeting each other with a warm hug.
“In an exclusive interview with CNN, Grassi said the visit was arranged personally with the Pope via email in the weeks ahead of Francis’ highly anticipated visit to the United States.
“Three weeks before the trip, he called me on the phone and said he would love to give me a hug,” Grassi said.”
