You have probably heard the claim -that there have been 355 mass shootings in the U.S. this year.
What a great example of the distortion and misinformation the American people are being fed on a daily basis by a corrupt news media who sees as its sole responsibility the support of the progressive agenda and the Obama/Democrat party.
Surfing the liberal MSM TV and print sources the day after the San Bernardino massacre at the hands of Islamist terrorists, the stats referred to in this editorial were cited over and over. Obama’s call for gun control was reinforced in virtually every news report on the murders and interviews with “experts” who uniformly seemed to see gun control as the only and best solution to preventing similar tragedies.
One liberal acquaintance was able to recite them hypnotically with absolutely no understanding of who or how the “stats” were compiled and the highly misleading characterizations they offered. The propaganda was more than sufficient to reinforce this individual’s preconditioned progressive “insight”.
Too bad the clarifications provided in this editorial will never make it to the mainstream liberal audience. Ignorance is easier…and the media is happy to provide it!
