BO can count on Orrin and Lindsey and Jeff — they deliver!
Recall all of the blather from GOPe senators about Loretta Lynch and what an honest, stand-up gal she is and what a superb Attorney General she would make? (see below)
Well, we’re seeing a much scarier image of Ms. Lynch now. With her pronouncements of the past week…
…she will vigorously investigate and prosecute anyone who makes bad statements about Muslims which, in her opinion, ‘edge toward violence’;
…her Justice Dept. is opening an investigation into the school district and police dept. which was involved with the “clock boy’ debacle;
…and now she cautions us to not jump to any conclusions about the shootings in San Bernardino last week (perhaps we should not assume that Ms. Malik and Mr. Farook used real guns?)
AG Lynch seems to have all the legal instincts of a Lavrenti Beria or Heinrich Himmler. Scary, huh? from The Hill, Republicans who voted to confirm Lynch:
Yes (7)
Sen. Kelly Ayotte (R-N.H.) — “Attorney General Eric Holder’s dismal performance and failure to follow and enforce the law for the past seven years has eroded Americans’ confidence in the Department of Justice’s ability to fulfill its responsibility to ensure that justice is administered fairly and equally,” said Ayotte in a statement. “It’s time for a new leader at the Department.” The former prosecutor is one of Democrats’ top targets in 2016.
Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) — “I found her very impressive and I think she deserves to be confirmed,” Collins said in an interview. “For those in my caucus who have been upset with some of the decisions made by Attorney General Holder, as I have been, the sooner he can be replaced by a career prosecutor, the better off our country will be.”
Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.)
Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.)
Sen. Orrin Hatch (R- Utah) — Hatch voted for Lynch in committee, “because her record of service over several decades shows that she is well-qualified to be attorney general.”
Sen. Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) — “I am confident from my conversation with Loretta Lynch that she will be a valuable partner in confronting the gang violence that is robbing families of their children every day in Chicago. We need the help of the Attorney General to fight gangs of national significance through federal law enforcement agencies and prosecutors, and to address organized crime like drug and child sex trafficking,” Kirk said in a statement.
Sen. Rob Portman (R-Ohio) — The senator said in a statement that new leadership is needed at the Department of Justice.

Raise your hand if you think Loretta and her Justice Dept. will find NO racist intentions or actions or “culture” in the Chicago Police Dept.
I sit back in disbelief as I watch the Obama Administration replace one seriously flawed and political hack with another. I was initially thrilled as Eric Holder announced his resignation. I honestly thought that any nominee for Attorney General would be a giant step forward to repair the damage that this very partisan and self serving individual bought to the office. How naïve. Instead of investigating the Black on Black murders in Chicago Loretta pursues the Police department. Instead of condemning the terrorist attack in San Bernardino she declares that her department will pursue any individual using inflaming language against Muslims. And don’t think that her office has any intention of taking up Hillary’s e-mail scandal or the Clinton Foundation’s dubious contributions from suspicious foreign countries to gain access to the power in Washington. I could go on but I’m upsetting myself. Will this ever change any time soon. I don’t think so.
