There was a GOP debate last night?

images-18I understand Marco Rubio kinda wowed some, and for JEB a pulse was detected?

Sorry I missed their Vegas gig. Not really. The bigger three-card monte game was being prepped in D.C.

Unfortunately, for America the grand declarations and promises made on that stage mean very little.

To really learn what all the words mean when establishment Republican politicians are asking for Americans’ votes, instead of watching pseudo debate in Las Vegas, look instead to what happens in Washington this coming Thursday.

That’s when the GOP dominated House and Senate will pass the “Omnibus” spending bill, giving President Obama everything he needs to advance his destructive agenda for the rest of his second term in office. Paul Ryan will use lots of words to tell us folks that it is a “compromise” and neither side got every thing it wanted, both sides got some.

Mitch McConnell may mumble the same message but as usual few people will care. “Earnest” Josh Earnest will echo those sentiments. The borders, though, will remain wide open, Middle East “refugees” will be brought in by the tens and hundreds of thousands, scattered around our land as the Obama administration deems to be to its advantage. Jeh Johnson will continue his “rigorous” vetting practices. The spending binge that voters sent the GOP to Congress continues, the ruinous debt continues to increase.

But let’s take Marco Rubio as an example. Seems the last few weeks as the presidential election nears, Marco seems to be recapturing a lot of his old “Tea Party” pose. That’s the one that enabled him to beat Republican/Independent/Democrat Charlie Crist to win his Senate seat.

Ahh, how eloquent Mr. Rubio was…just like now. Tough, conservative, will halt the nation’s steep downward trajectory on which Obama has put it.

And, what did this fresh-faced brand spankin’ new Senator do when he got to Washington? Despite however carefully crafted his defense for it is these days, it was good old “Chuck” Schumer who took the lad under his wing and put Marco out front to tout the “Gang of Eight’s” great big Amnesty idea. Pretty heady stuff for young Marco. But, here of late, he doesn’t talk much about that…or his pal, “Chuck”. Now, the talk is about “elect Marco” and watch him be “President Conservative”!

Yeah, OK. But keep your eyes on the cards.       DLH
