So here’s how this works.
Readers might say that we’ve been relentless in picking on poor “Ash” Carter, America’s latest hapless Defense Secretary. We have. In our opinion, if your intent, as President Obama’s very definitely is, is to insure the demise of America’s status of a military and economic superpower, Ash Carter would be your guy. Right out of a Gilbert & Sullivan farce, Sec. Carter is the very model for the bumbling, incompetent, yes-man.
To learn that “Ash” came aboard the Obama ship “Lollipop” and immediately began using his personal email account to conduct national defense business should not be a surprise.
Defense Secretary Conducted Some Official Business on a Personal Email Account
He was aware of the Obama administration’s disdain for traditional security practices and the need for secure communications measures on military matters. Not that Ash thought that it was dangerous and harmful to national interest. Ash just knew that Hillary Clinton had been doing those things throughout her term as Sec. of State, known by the administration from the first day of her tenure (our opinion). He also knew that as long as you did what Obama told you to do, and didn’t get too ambitious , there was nothing to worry about.
Now we have this revelation. But, as the way every incidence of Obama administration scandal and lawlessness unfolds, this disclosure that the nation’s Secretary of Defense was exchanging Defense Dept. information on a totally insecure, personal email account, by now , hardly raises a concern. Initially, when Hillary’ antics were discovered, the media, the public, government officials on both sides of the aisle, were properly aghast! News reports, opinion pieces, investigations abounded But , with skillful stonewalling, a generally inept or tainted judiciary, and a media which knows when to stop giving Dear Leader a bad time, the media’s interest, the public’s concern eventually dissipated. The “unheard of” is now the embedded routine in this government. Would it surprise anyone or even emit a modicum of concern if we were to learn a few weeks from now that every ranking Obama bureaucrat is using a private account to communicate on matters once considered potentially damaging to Obama, his administration, and/or their next moves to “transform” America?
I doubt it. After another cursory “hearing’ or investigation of this latest, I think it’s safe for “Ash” to reinstate his afternoon naps, to make the military’s quotas for transgenders, and female Navy seals proceed on target, insure that troops are properly trained on sexual harassment, gender identity, diversity (in all but thought), and that the armed forces are ridding themselves of effective wartime commanders and dedicated warriors.
