Please Dems! Don’t bring back Chafee. All is lost!

At the Improv

Ed Rendell, former Democratic National Committee Chairman and former  Democratic Governor of Pennsylvania was performing at the Improv the other night and one of his best lines of the night was this:

“In terms of who we fear the most, the Democratic side, just speaking for myself, I would fear John Kasich and Marco Rubio as vice president,” “That would be the ticket I would fear the most.”

It brought down the house.

Oh wait! That wasn’t at the Improv. That was an interview the governor had with a talk show host on a New York radio station Sunday. Maybe the guv was serious.

MurrowOh well. That’s OK. Veritaspac’s New York bureau chief has asked to appear on the same show next Sunday. He will disclose, perhaps for the first time, that the candidate conservatives fear most on the Democratic side is a Chafee-Sanders ticket.

No question that a Democrat Chafee-Sanders ticket would be formidable given their appealing personalities and towering intellects.
Personally, however, the Democratic ticket that frightens me the most would be one headed by the wildly personable Debbie W. Schultz with a running mate being either “America’s Sweetheart”, Huma Abedin Wiener, or the vivacious and incredibly talented Chelsea Clinton. Such a ticket, I fear, could possibly be elected by acclamation…with no vote being necessary.
