From Gary Bauer at Campaign for Working Families;
I want to address one issue that has come up repeatedly in the GOP debates, and which was particularly prominent during Saturday’s debate. And that is the notion that Cruz and Rubio haven’t run anything and, thus, are the Republican equivalent of Barack Obama, who failed because he lacked experience running anything.
This is an absurd argument. It completely misses the main reason why 55% of the country no longer supports Obama. It’s not his lack of experience. . . it is his left-wing ideology.
You don’t need experience to know that Israel is our friend and Iran is our enemy. It was Obama’s left-wing ideology that led him to reach out to Iran and turn his back on Israel.
You don’t need private sector experience to know that the government can’t deliver healthcare very efficiently. Look at the VA. It was Obama’s left-wing ideology that drove him to “fundamentally transform” healthcare in America.
You don’t need experience to know that marriage is between a man and woman, and that what is in the womb is human life. It was Obama’s left-wing ideology that led him to redefine marriage and undermine the dignity and worth of the unborn child.
If Chris Christie and others don’t get that, then they don’t understand what last seven years were all about.
Then there is the matter of a governor who has staked out the territory of not defending Republican principles and that Obama’s executive actions are just a matter of opinion and of course that Obama means well and can’t we all just get along?
