- Establishment campaigning is as crude as Trump ever accused of being
- Unseemly desperation for notice?
Ted Cruz scores near sweep in district committee delegates
From the Des Moines Register this morning — a reasonably straight report about the four Republican Party of Iowa District conventions that took place Saturday. We attended the 2nd District convention and will have more commentary later
What were they thinking?
Candidate Judy Davidson’s campaign picture and material was posted by her people above every urinal in the men’s restroom at the Second District convention site. How it was thought to be clever to have the candidate’s visage “staring” at men as they relieved themselves is beyond us. And Trump is accused of being sexist and inappropriate by a member of Ms Davidson’s family. Seriously what would the reaction be if Trump’s visage was “officially” placed in each individual women’s booth area?
What can one say? If this was not done by Judy’s opponent (if there is one) then surely this is the work of “Morons for Davidson”. Surely Ms. Davidson’s campaign literature does not appear on the bathroom tissue as well?
This was not made up. At least one guy laughingly complained about inability to start stream flow with someone watching. In response a wag suggested dropping the flyer into the drain. And I thought to my self, what were they thinking? And the establishment types complain about dignity in campaigning.
