Navy secretary fires back at conservatives: Will name warships as I please; no politics involved

Some examples of Mr. Mabus‘ ship names:

• “He named combat logistics supply ships after civil rights leader Medgar Evers and leftist farmworker Cesar Chavez. All previous Lewis and Clark-class cargo ships had been named for famous explorers or people who made significant contributions to the military, as called for in Navy conventions.

• “He named a littoral combat ship after former Rep. Gabrielle Giffords, Arizona Democrat, who was seriously wounded in a January 2011 assassination attempt. Some Republicans said there are hundreds of wounded veterans if that is the criteria.

• “He named a San Diego-class docking ship after another Democrat, the late Rep. John P. Murtha of Pennsylvania. The previous nine ships had been named after U.S. cities, a park and a county, following Navy conventions.

• “In January Mr. Mabus again broke with past tradition. He named a fleet replenishment oiler, TAO-205, after civil rights icon Rep. John Lewis, Georgia Democrat. Mr. Lewis voted for removing all U.S. troops from Iraq in 2007 and from Afghanistan in 2011. He also has favored deep cuts in military spending.”

• “Mr. Mabus said this class hereafter will be named after civil rights and human rights activists.”

There are basically two types of people that President Obama considers ideal for important positions in his administration. There’s the fiercely dedicated anti-America radical leftists like UN Ambassador Samantha Power, National Security advisor, Valerie Jarrett, former and present Attorneys General, Eric Holder and Loretta Lynch, and many others sprinkled about at all levels of this administration.

The second type are the ambitious, arrogant congenital toadies who have no guiding moral principles and no respect for any American values, traditions, or legal precedents. They will submit to any embarrassment or humiliation to achieve whatever undeserved “honor” they crave and are otherwise incapable of achieving on merit.

Here too, there abounds many of this type within the Obama administration, and many more have been added in his unrestrained second term. Examples include the hapless and woefully incompetent “Jeh” Johnson, Homeland Security Secretary; most certainly Secretary “Ash” Carter, hands down the most pathetic Secretary of Defense in American history; IRS commissioner, John Koskinan, the very face of everything wrong about the IRS.

But this is about the person who must be the most arrogant, willful , individual to ever head a branch of the United States Armed Forces, Secretary of the Navy Ray Mabus. Secretary Mabus is an unprecedented disgrace to the brave men and women who have and are serving in our military. This country will be several generations trying to live down this man’s awful “legacy”.

Ray Mabus is an evil, unfunny Gilbert and Sullivan caricature.

This article reminds readers that Mabus rejected exhaustive studies by the Marine Corps that found that women in elite combat units were less effective than all-male units. He is the kook who has helped reduce the Navy’s ships to WWI levels and while military spending cuts have reduced readiness across the board, this nitwit is spending scarce funds for the Navy running our fighting ships on vegetable oil at costs 4 times that of conventional fuel in order to “fight ‘climate change'”! *
