Clarice Feldman, one of our favorite columnists, in her latest piece, A Modest Proposal for Improving U.S. Intelligence Operation, reviews at some length the many ways in which federal intelligence and law enforcement agencies seemed to bungle the handling of the Orlando Islamist terrorist/mass murderer, Omar Mateen.
The instances of simply ignoring or dismissing many highly alarming reports from the general public and even credible private security agencies are both alarming and puzzling. As Ms. Feldmann notes, in this era of “see something, say something…” this episode deserves a response credibly along the lines of, “if it involves Islam, why, what’s the use?…”. It is virtually certain, it appears, to be ignored given the experiences in San Bernardino and now, Orlando.
Political correctness run amok?
Maybe. But, while it is still somewhat possible to express an opinion which our federal government and popular media might find offensive and terribly “Trumplike”, we offer a disturbing possibility.
While we may not be sure exactly what all of Barack Obama’s goals and intentions are, it is clear that, currently, his biggest priority is gun control. Beyond that, the possibilities are too frightening to contemplate, so let’s stick with that for the time being.
With that in mind, does the term, and the maliciously stupid dangerous program behind that term, “Fast and Furious”, set off any alarm bells?
Consider the lengths Obama and Eric Holder went to in implementing a program to put guns into the hands of murderous drug gangs. Only the most dedicated PBS devotee and low information Democrat voter would deny the purpose of this ‘project’. A mountain of evidence has been unearthed which makes clear Obama’s and Holder’s intention was to create and foster another effort to exploit what the Obama administration’s minions have more than once described as the “stupidity” of the American people and the eager support of the ignorant “news” media, in support of the evisceration of Americans’ Second Amendment rights!
This cynical and proven lethal attempt failed, but only because of the deadly and undeniable consequences, including the murder of a border patrol agent at the hands of a member of a Mexican drug cartel wielding one of the weapons provided by the debacle known as “Fast and Furious”.
In these recent Islamic terrorist incidents, it is clear that our nation’s elite law enforcement agency’s hands are tied by our government’s “politically correct” bonds.
Is the Obama administration’s abject stupidity and stubbornness the reason?
OR IS THIS “FAST AND FURIOUS II”?!
