Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner?

  • George Will out of the closet **
  •  D. Brooks’ “Great President Predictor ” kits now on sale in Beltway
  •  Will also reveals he’s no longer a Cubs fan; endorses White Sox for World Series

The invitations are probably going out this week. A ‘dinnah pahty’ at the Will mansion. Like the *bash in 2009 when a few close “conservative” friends and Barack Obama gathered to toast the new president, Beltway intellectual and “faux-conservative” George and the guys and gals will celebrate the “Establishment Class’s” victory over the peasants in 2016 presidential election.

We’d expect the guest list will include most of the attendees at Mr. Will’s last bash, Dr. Krauthammer, David Brooks, the newly elected president, whomever she might be. We can also expect Bill Kristol and Mitt will be there, as will the entire governing boards of the US Chamber of Commerce and the Wall Street Journal.

We hear that the dinner this time will feature a demonstration by NY Times columnist, David Brooks. David will show off his “Great President Detection Kit” and guests will watch him as he analyzes the creases in Hillary’s pantsuit for evidence of presidential greatness. All recall how accurately he predicted Obama’s greatness last time without having to examine not a single messy animal entrail.

Of course this is all about the most poorly kept secret in Washington since Hillary’s entire email cache: George Will Won’t! “Won’t” as in he Won’t vote for Republican presumptive nominee, Donald Trump. “Won’t” also as in being a registered Republican, as he proclaimed this week. The ‘secret’ that never was is that the “Conservative Masquerade” Will has conducted for decades is now fully revealed.

George has ‘come out’ of the Washington Establishment/Progressive Closet” . . . and Cubs fans ? . . .  now you can say, “Say it ain’t so, Shoeless George”.

There were several takes on Will’s infamous 2009 dinner by liberal publications, all of which were pretty orgasmic over the event. Here is one from Mother Jones; excerpts from one in the Huffington Post below. If the left was pleased over the so-called conservative pundits fawning over the new Marxist president, they’re going to be ecstatic over George Will’s next ‘dinnah party’.         DLH

*Obama And Conservatives Break Bread At George Will’s House
02/13/2009 05:12 am ET | Updated May 25, 2011

Barack Obama took the next big step in his Republican charm offensive on Tuesday night, when he dined with several of the nation’s most prominent conservative pundits.

The president-elect arrived at the Chevy Chase, Md., home of syndicated columnist George Will shortly after 6:30 p.m., according to a press pool report. Greeting him at the residence were other luminaries of the conservative commentariat, including the Weekly Standard’s William Kristol, New York Times columnist David Brooks, and Charles Krauthammer of the Washington Post.

The odd-couple gathering led to speculation that Rush Limbaugh, who said that he was in D.C. for a “secret meeting,” was also in attendance. “I’m just offering, a personal trip, nobody even has to know about this,” the notorious and combative talk show host wrote on his website.

Alas, a source close to the transition confirms, Limbaugh was definitely not in attendance during the dinner affair — likely disappointing some in the conservative blogosphere, knowing full well the fury that would have caused among progressives.

Nevertheless, Obama’s choice of dining partners seem likely to cause its fair share of hair-pulling and eye-rolling. As the pool reporter, Ken Bazinet of the New York Daily News, penned in his write up: “This is for real, folks. The bloggers are going to love this one.”

Obama has pledged to be a uniter once in office. He’s also said he is willing to take policy suggestions from any source, regardless of ideological affiliation, as long as they work. So far, he’s living up to his word.

** WASHINGTON – “Conservative columnist George Will told PJM he has officially left the Republican Party and urged conservatives not to support presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump even if it leads to a Democratic victory in the 2016 presidential election.

“Will, who writes for the Washington Post, acknowledged it is a “little too late” for the Republican Party to find a replacement for Trump but had a message for Republican voters.

“Make sure he loses. Grit their tee
th for four years and win the White House,” Will said during an interview after his speech at a Federalist Society luncheon.

Will said he changed his voter registration this month from Republican to “unaffiliated” in the state of Maryland.

“This is not my party,” Will said during his speech at the event.”
