Sorry, not “Feeling the Johnson”
Feeling the Johnson is the semi-adopted slogan for the Johnson/Weld Libertarian Party campaign for the presidency. Gary Johnson picking liberal big-government Weld as his running mate was just as serious and clever. Nevertheless some #nevertrump writers including at RedState (which has a stable of writers that can produce excellent stuff) now seem to be in the business of promoting Johnson/Weld as the best alternative for conservatives, since no big name conservative alternative has emerged to try a third-party presidential run. Fortunately not all Red State writers are on that page, making excuses for Johnson.
Why such #nevertrumpers are not pushing the Constitution Party candidate, giving him some notoriety means they are intent on some sort of numbers game, viability analysis, presumptuousness, and compromise themselves — all something they disdain in those conservatives who have resigned themselves to Trump (and influencing his candidacy) for lack of a viable conservative alternative. They lose credibility in doing so as to accusations they make about compromise in others. We think their numbers or viability analysis could, if not assuredly work to Hillary’s favor.

I am not a stone-thrower when it comes to Hillary Clinton and her emails and her server,” Libertarian Party presidential candidate Gary Johnson told CNN. “I don’t think there has been criminal intent on Hillary Clinton’s part, so I don’t see an indictment.”
Libertarians must be proud; their candidate just can’t figure out what on earth the “fuss” is all about, or maybe Gary just lives in a glass house. Or, maybe he believes, as Bernie once opined, voters are just “tired of hearing about the damn emails.”
