The time for leadership is now!
Our leaders must put words to action!
Friends of Veritas — Gaia (a.k.a “Earth”) faces almost certain extinction from man-made climate change, unless action is taken immediately. World leaders are urging governments and people every where to make hard choices and difficult sacrifices. But people, while they are concerned about climate change, are very reluctant to make the sacrifices their leaders say are absolutely necessary.
It is time for real and courageous leadership.
The greatest threat facing our planet, according to people so highly esteemed as the leader of the free world , Barack Obama, and the very popular Pope Francis, spiritual leader of 2 billion Catholics worldwide, is caused in very large part by. . . air conditioning . . . now defined as more dangerous than ISIS or global terrorism!
Both the Pontiff and Obama’s Secretary of State, John Kerry have directly pointed to air conditioning as a major culprit in their dire predictions of calamity which will soon befall mankind:
Pope Francis —
Following a global conference of the world’s most eminent scientists and climate experts, convened by Pope Francis, air conditioning has been cited as one of mankind’s greatest follies. In his famous encyclical on the environment, Laudato Si’, Francis spells out the danger to our world that purveyors of this insidious product pose…all for the sake of profit—

55. “Some countries are gradually making significant progress, developing more effective controls and working to combat corruption. People may well have a growing ecological sensitivity but it has not succeeded in changing their harmful habits of consumption which, rather than decreasing, appear to be growing all the more. A simple example is the increasing use and power of air-conditioning. The markets, which immediately benefit from sales, stimulate ever greater demand. An outsider looking at our world would be amazed at such behaviour, which at times appears self-destructive.
SOS Kerry —
Secretary of State John Kerry (recently) took time out of a speech to an environmental group to tell them that their work in trying to ban hydrofluorocarbons, or HFCs, from household appliances such as air conditioners and refrigerators, “is of equal importance” to anything being done to combat ISIS.
“As we were working together on the challenge of [ISIS] and terrorism,” Kerry said. “It’s hard for some people to grasp it, but what we–you–are doing here right now is of equal importance because it has the ability to literally save life on the planet itself.”
And so the two greatest leaders of our time share the gravest of concerns about the fate of our planet and the welfare of all the world’s peoples.
Terrorism, poverty, famine, natural disasters…all threats to civilization. But none greater than that posed by “climate change”. Both Barack Obama, President of the United States and leader of the free world, and Pope Francis I, spiritual leader of 2 billion Catholics worldwide have issued the direst of warnings about the coming destruction our planet and the end of mankind, unless all peoples of the Earth join together and cease their profligate ways and their mindless pursuit of comfort and happiness.
Certainly the developed nations, through their use of the deadly fossil fuels to power their cities, their industries, their decadent lifestyles, have been the main parties responsible for the crisis the world faces today…CLIMATE Change.
According to these two leaders, as well as most of the world’s heads of government and all but a hand full of scientists, there is a very real possibility that it is already too late to save the world.
The need for immediate and drastic action is at hand. Through the United Nations and other world bodies the peoples of the earth are being told that extreme and difficult sacrifices must be made if doom is to be averted.
Perhaps just in time, our leaders have identified one of the chief culprits causing climate change and its accelerating pace. While farting livestock has been singled out as one of the major contributors to impending environmental disaster by the emissions of methane gas put forth, it is neither the only cause nor the greatest cause. The main culprit is the desire for and existence of air-conditioning. Earth/ Gaia would be so much more pleasant but for it.
The time to act is now…and yet, there is concern that many populations of affluent nations will resist giving up the decadent comforts of their central air…unwilling to make the sacrifices necessary to save future generations.
And so, we offer this simple plan:
A “COMMON SENSE” MODEST PLAN TO SAVE ALL MANKIND:
LEADERS…GOVERNMENT AND RELIGIOUS OFFICIALDOM,
– IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN AIR CONDITIONING IN ALL U.S. FEDERAL GOVERNMENT LOCATIONS, INCLUDING THE WHITE HO– USE AND THE NATION’S CAPITOL.
– IMMEDIATELY SHUT DOWN AIR CONDITIONING IN ALL CATHOLIC CHURCHES AND CHURCH-RELATED FACILITIES, INCLUDING ALL OFFICES AND LIVING QUARTERS OF THE VATICAN.
– DURING THE UPCOMING MONTHS OF MILDER WEATHER, DISMANTLE AND PERMANENTLY DISPOSE OF ALL AIR CONDITIONING EQUIPMENT OF ALL OF THE AFOREMENTIONED FACILITIES.
-THE EFFECT OF THESE MEASURES IS SO OBVIOUS AS TO BE UNASSAILABLY APPROPRIATE; IT IS AN ACT OF TRUE AND COURAGEOUS LEADERSHIP ON THE PART OF THOSE WISE LEADERS WHO HAVE RECOGNIZED THE MEASURES NECESSARY TO SAVE CIVILIZATION AND ARE WILLING TO BE THE FIRST TO MAKE THE SACRIFICES THEY’VE CALLED FOR.
– WITH THIS COURAGEOUS ACT OF LEADERSHIP, PEOPLE OF THE WORLD WILL THEN BE ANXIOUS TO FOLLOW SUIT…DEMAND THAT THEIR OWN COMFORT BE SACRIFICED FOR THE GOOD AND SURVIVAL OF ALL MANKIND!
– IMAGINE THE ENTHUSIASM ON THE PART OF GOVERNMENT FUNCTIONARIES AND BUREAUCRATS, AS WELL AS CONGRESSIONAL STAFFERS, MANY OF WHOM HAVE EAGERLY SUPPORTED DRASTIC ACTION TO HALT GLOBAL WARMING AND UNSATISFACTORY WEATHER EVENTS; THOUGH THEY WERE FORCED TO OPT OUT OF PARTICIPATION IN OBAMACARE BECA– USE IT WOULD HAVE IMPOSED GREAT HARDSHIP ON THEM AND THEIR FAMILIES, AMERICANS CAN BE ASSURED THAT THESE PEOPLE WILL BE WILLING TO BE AMONG THE FIRST TO DO THE NECESSARY TO SAVE THE PLANET.
– COLLEGE STUDENTS AND FACULTIES WILL UNDOUBTEDLY SIGN ON TO JOIN THIS NOBLE EFFORT, DEMANDING THAT THEIR INSTITUTIONS REMOVE FROM THEIR CLASSROOMS AND DORM ROOMS THE EVIL, SEDUCTIVE AIR CONDITIONING.
– AND, WON’T HOLLYWOOD’S MOST AFFLUENT AND CONCERNED, INSPIRED BY OUR PRESIDENT’S BOLD SELF-SACRIFICING LEADERSHIP, HOP ABOARD AND THUS PUNISH THE PROFITEERS WHO ENTICE COMMON PEOPLE TO SACRIFICE THE PLANET’S FUTURE FOR SOME TEMPORARY RESPITE FROM THE COMING CLIMATE HOLOCAUST.
