QUOTE OF THE DAY…NO! MAKE THAT QUOTE OF THE MILLENIA
Wall Street Journal editorial, “Democracy’s verdict on Clinton”, 23Nov16:
“The voters ultimately rendered that verdict (re: Sec. Clinton’s mishandling of confidential national security information) on November 8, and being denied the Presidency is far more painful punishment than a misdemeanor or minor felony conviction.”
Our comment:
What petty thief or serial rapist has not been denied the Presidency? To extend the WSJ’s remarks to a not-illogical, albeit extreme conclusion, haven’t those folks “suffered” enough?
(Who said a competent investigation would have found just ‘minor’ felony offenses?)
We comment. You decide. DLH
