WHO SAID THAT WILLINGLY IGNORANT PEOPLE CAN’T SAY REALLY FUNNY THINGS?
Here it is! The wait is over! Vogue magazine has just published its 6th installment celebrating the legacy of Barack Obama and his administration. (excerpt)
“But hope is Obama’s mom jeans. It’s a dorky fetish he just can’t quit. Does he know better? Probably. But there he goes, cycling into the sunset in the psychological equivalent of faded, baggy pants too long in the hem and too high in the waist. He’s made good on more of our hopes than we had any right to expect. Now it’s our turn not to disappoint him.”
But don’t be sad. There are 6 more installments to come.
It will be, however, an almost insurmountable challenge to top this one, as Maya Singer takes on those critics of Barack’s “Mom Jeans”.
As I read this nauseating paean to Ms. Singer’s ‘greek god’, Barack the First, it occurred to me that the real tragedy of the all out efforts to lionize the arguably worst president in American history by most of America’s societal institutions…education, arts & entertainment, the judiciary, government, even some religious organizations… is the permanent damage done to people like Maya.
When you hear, or read, stuff like: “Picture Barack Obama and what comes to mind is an elegant man, immaculate in a suit, or Old Hollywood suave swanning into a gala in a tuxedo withMichelle on his arm…” , you realize that all over this great country, good people, probably raised to respect this nation and the great deeds it has accomplished for the benefit of people all over the world, a nation whose values have inspired generations of their fellow Americans, are being fed this “fake truth” every day. Your or my son or daughter are hearing this in their schools, reading it in publications like Vogue, seeing it on most television networks, inundated with it in the music they listen to, the movies and TV shows they watch.
Ironically, it is the “educated” who, led to believe they are the smartest and the ‘goodest’ of Americans, are the most ignorant!
Believing they are superior in every way to their ‘lesser’ fellow citizens, they need not listen to views which conflict with their own. Theirs is THE only opinion that counts, the only ‘truth’ to be advanced, NPR is their gospel, the defeat of “climate change” their mission.
And thus they say and write goofy stuff like poor Maya, woefully, but willingly ignorant of the obvious:
Barack Obama has demonstrated nearly every day of his 8 years as our country’s first actual “affirmative action president” (elected because of his ‘declared’ race and glib oratory) that he is arguably the most spiteful, vindictive, dishonest, pampered, exploitive, arrogant person to ever occupy the Oval Office. And because of those “qualities” he became the most dangerous, destructive, anti-American president ever…leaving in his wake a ‘legacy’ of divisiveness, worst race relations in almost a century, a weakened national security structure, a nearly insurmountable debt, and a seriously diseased culture.
All this is painfully known to the 62 million informed people who voted for something else, whether it was all they wanted it to be or not…they knew it could not be worse.
The real tragedy is, when one hears Maya and her like-minded expound on their un- and mis-informed beliefs, how can they ever regain the respect of their truly wiser fellow Americans?
(The key questions which may one day be addressed: Who are the people who drive the destructive indoctrination for their own agenda and who are the sad dupes and who embodies both?
In other words, who are the Tom Steiers and the George Soroses and who are the Lady Gagas and the Maya Singers and who are the Leonardo DiCaprios and the Pope Francises?)

The Genius of Obama’s Mom Jeans Maya Singer
What is it with these people and pants creases, or not, ? The in-between paragraphs of Singer’s article require the gag-reflex of Madonna on a Hillary campaign swing to get through without an abdominal convulsion. Ms Singer concludes:
Which brings me to hope, and mom jeans. Because the one errant trait in Obama is his hopefulness. Against reason, against experience, he just keeps hoping. The word may forever be associated with him, thanks to Shepard Fairey and that iconic poster from the 2008 campaign, and eight years later, Obama’s well of hope has yet to run dry. For a man so tuned to rigor, his hope—that the crowds that swelled for him in his first campaign would mobilize on behalf of his agenda; that institutional norms would trump partisanship in Congress; that decent people sitting together in a room can hammer out solutions to complicated problems—comes across as unbelievably, unbearably, uncharacteristically naive. But hope is Obama’s mom jeans. It’s a dorky fetish he just can’t quit. Does he know better? Probably. But there he goes, cycling into the sunset in the psychological equivalent of faded, baggy pants too long in the hem and too high in the waist. He’s made good on more of our hopes than we had any right to expect. Now it’s our turn not to disappoint him.
