“The toy will have a genderless plastic mold typical of most dolls, is being tested for children eight years and older, and is expected to sell for $89.99, ABC News reported.”
Huh?! A “genderless” plastic mold typical of most dolls?
What does that even mean?
Is this a “transgender” doll…or is it a “genderless” doll?
And what about those sophisticated 8-year-olds, craving to learn more about the transgender world? What are they going to think when they eagerly undress “Jazz” to see what this phenomena is all about?
A typical 8 year old “inquiring mind’s” reaction?
WHAAT” THIS?!! Where’s the genitals? Mom, Dad, (or Dad! Dad! or Mom! Mom!) we’ve been had! This isn’t even a “Cis Gender” doll! Wahh…get our money back . This isn’t a real “Jazz”.
Tonner Doll Company says it will debut a doll based on 16-year-old transgender teen Jazz Jennings from the TLC reality series I Am Jazz at the New York Toy Fair, CBS Los Angelesreported.
The company has made dolls based on a variety of characters from books and television shows, including Spiderman, Harry Potter, Doctor Who, and Wonder Woman.
The toy will have a genderless plastic mold typical of most dolls, is being tested for children eight years and older, and is expected to sell for $89.99, ABC News reported.
“Jazz stands for everything I respect from a human nature point of view – she’s incredibly brave, intelligent, warm-hearted and creative,” said company founder Robert Tonner, who called the doll “groundbreaking.”
An additional observation on the ABC report linked to above:
“The Jazz Jennings doll comes 40 years after the release of the “Gay Bob” doll, widely thought to be the first doll based on a gay character.”
Who says there’s any erosion of the culture?
This “Gay Bob” doll…how are children supposed to “play” with a “Gay Bob” doll?
Don’t answer that!
The point is, how is “Bob” supposed to “behave” in the playful hands of 6,7,8 year old kids?
Does that doll come with instructions. How are parents who buy a “Gay Bob” doll for their child supposed to introduce him, “Hey Stephie, look what Mommy and Daddy bought you! This is “Bob”. He’s gay. He don’t much like girls who try to act ‘sexy’ so kind of keep him away from Barbie…you know how she is.” How does “Bob” behave toward Barbie?
And, will the child insist on getting “Bob” a “Brucie” doll so that Bob won’t be lonely?
Finally, will parents have to monitor more closely how their 8 year old handles those “intimate moments” in their play with dolls of all sexual persuasions?

Don you asked “will parents have to monitor” Not to worry, my guess is that Bob will do Barbie’s hair and they will get along fabulously
To which Don replied: For almost 40 years Barbie has been warning Bob to stay away from Ken.
I could only offer the old joke: Of course you have heard of Divorce Barbie . . . she comes with all of Ken’s things.
Nice turn of phrase “Alt-realty” have not seen that before.
