We do not relish criticizing the Pope’s moral authority or dependability, but he has abused the power bestowed upon him in areas beyond his competence in economics and science, and corrupted the long held teachings of the magisterum, in our humble opinion of course.
This AP report of the Pope’s own description of his intentions in his upcoming meeting with President Trump is just jaw dropping for inconsistencies with his statements and practices.
Pope says he’ll seek common ground with Trump, won’t preach (excerpts in italics, “Huhs” are ours)
Francis said proselytizing isn’t his style – in politics or religion. Huh!?
Speaking to reporters while traveling home Saturday from a trip to Portugal, Francis said he would say what he thinks sincerely to Trump and listen respectfully to what Trump has to say. . . .
Francis has already said anyone who wants to build walls to keep out migrants is “not Christian.”
“I never make a judgment about a person without hearing him out,” the pope said. Huh?!
