The stunning victory by Greg Gianforte in the Montana congressional election is the clearest signal yet that the inevitable consequences of the left’s insane efforts to impose its will on the American people are playing out as any rational person would expect and fear.
Despite the “sensational” story of GOP candidate Gianforte “attacking” a reporter and then being charged with misdemeanor assault on the day before the election, he went on to decisively defeat the liberal, guitar strummin’ Democrat Rob Quist.
We are guessing that many Americans including everyday ‘habitual-Democrat voters’ are quietly saying, “hallelulia! finally someone is standing up to the radical left and their media abettors and saying, ‘enough is enough’!”
Gianforte’s “terrible” offense was that he “manhandled” a “hardworking” UK Guardian reporter, who was just trying to get the candidate to defend his views on Republican congressional efforts to replace Obamacare.
We cannot try to provide a detailed report on this incident nor to litigate it in Veritaspac. We must leave it to responsible media (few that there is) to provide thorough and accurate details and analysis (hopefully Fox and the few conservative newspapers and columnists will do so).
What we believe is accurate is that the Guardian reporter is a bitter critic of Gianforte, the Guardian itself is a leftwing newspaper, the reporter “invaded” the candidate’s office, uninvited, and was aggressive in attempting to get what he hoped would be controversial comment, was asked and eventually commanded to leave the office, became increasingly hostile, and, was finally physically “rebuffed”.
Thus, after months of bullying, threats, physical violence by the radical left at Republican events and toward conservative speakers on college campuses, unrelenting badgering, grievous misreporting by the liberal media, and extreme harassment of GOP and conservative officeholders, one guy had enough and responded.
In a respectful, civilized society, perhaps Gianforte’s response was “inappropriate”.
But let’s make no mistake. The radical left, and that includes Black Lives Matter, various “environmental activist groups”, the “Hollywood and entertainment left”, the late night “comics” (let’s not forget the “c–k holster” jokesters), have worked non-stop to create precisely the DIS-respectful, uncivilized (let’s not forget the “p-say-hatted” marchers of the faux-womens’ movement), society in which we find ourselves.
As this continues, we are destined to see many more Americans “finally getting fed up with this stuff” and reacting in ways they would have thought unthinkable before the Democratic Party/liberal media behavior of 2016-17.
