The article starts off with an as true as the day is long summation of the American left’s main operational theme for decades –portraying Republicans as cruel / evil (a theological concept unexplored by them, they really just use it to mean anything or anyone they disagree with). His reference is to the American left but the basic “MO” is the same for all Marxist/Socialists (everywhere since Marx )as regards any opposition, even foot-dragging, regarding the “dictatorship of the proletariat” and confiscatory policies of all sorts requiring the most stringent far-reaching government control over people’s lives.

Since the election of Donald Trump, American cities and university campuses have been set ablaze in a wave of protest, hate, and violence. A well-funded and organized national “resistance” movement has been formed to push back against the supposed “fascism” of the President and the Republican Party. Meanwhile, powerful Democrats from Chuck Schumer to kooky Maxine Waters continue pushing the narrative that Trump is out to burn down our hallowed republic and replace it with his own cult of personality (never mind the fact that Democrats continue venerating actual anti-republican leaders, like FDR, who died early in his unprecedented fourth term in office)
In fevered minds the “logic”of where to carry this is relentless. What is wrong with dispatching “deplorables” and “irredeemables.” Of course such constant rhetoric would engender rioting and worse among the ignorant and the unstable on the left. The rhetoric from the Schumers and Pelosi and Obama’s leaves no ameliorating factors, it has never been in practice anti-violent, indeed often rife with its rhetorical practitioners engaging in what amounts to apologetics not contriteness. To be sure most would not take it so far as the leftist nut case but it would not surprise me if the percentage would rise to the same level as that of “inspired” jihadists percentage in the Muslim faith.
