Red Hats

George Neumayr writing at American Spectator reports on the continued effort by Pope Francis to inculcate Marxist thought into the Roman Curia . Readers will note that we have provided warnings and authoritative contradictions to this trend from other popes since Pope Francis revealed himself to the world.

Why should we care . . . besides the 1.2 billion supposedly giving him credence?

Well, this Pope is determined and focused and has tremendous influence as a force multiplier, as a fellow traveler in Marxist thought and ideology, providing a religious imprimatur/ stamp of approval who is assertive in establishing a legacy of the same. He is a useful pope for those intent on one world government.

Whatever the left disagrees with as to this popes pro-forma announcements they of course simply ignore and without repercussion or loss of influence with him. Indeed they do so with his help as he has indicated that his pontificate is always going to emphasis themes they agree with and not “obsess” with matters like the voluntary destruction of unborn members of the human family. Forget the “traditional” positions taken for occasional public consumption, this pope is all about transforming world government and he is helping by undermining traditional thought and replacing conservatives in the influential body he heads.

We grew up in a Catholic church that was staunchly anti-communist and for sound theological and worldly reasons. Previous popes actually understood despotism. This pope embraces it. This pope at best is an economic ignoramus who has more misplaced resentments then he can shake his ring finger at.

At the time, many dismissed this testimony. But who doubts the long march of the Marxists through the Church now? In 2009, the baldly heretical German Hans Kung dreamed of a red pope in the mold of Barack Obama: “What would a Pope do who acted in the spirit of Obama? Clearly, like Obama he would… proclaim the vision of hope of a renewed church, a revitalized ecumenism, understanding with the Jews, the Muslims and other world religions and a positive assessment of modern science…”

In Jorge Bergoglio, Kung got his wish.     . . .   continue reading
