Al (Gore) And I Will Always Have Paris”: Pope Francis
This is an excellent time of year in most parts of the world to remind all those ‘good folks’ on the Catholic left and the gullible, weakly informed or completely un-informed liberals, of the wisdom of Pope Francis:
From the Pontiff’s “manifesto”, “Laudato Si” (No, translation is not “A plan to redistribute wealth from rich, free nations, to corrupt totalitarian regimes and calling it “compassion”; that’s only the purpose of it):
VI. WEAK RESPONSES
55. Some countries are gradually making significant progress, developing more effective controls and working to combat corruption. People may well have a growing ecological sensitivity but it has not succeeded in changing their harmful habits of consumption which, rather than decreasing, appear to be growing all the more. A simple example is the increasing use and power of air-conditioning. The markets, which immediately benefit from sales, stimulate ever greater demand. An outsider looking at our world would be amazed at such behaviour, which at times appears self-destructive.

Perhaps it is time for the US Bishops who accept Pope Francis’s adoption of the radical left’s agenda as Catholic doctrine, to turn their words to ‘meaningful’ action.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, but in Il Papa’s unique non-constructive way:
“Parishes, Tear Down Your Air Conditioners!” (“Let them (parishioners) use fans”)
