NY Times (any day now?):
NEW STUDY FINDS OUR MILITARY FACING A SERIOUS SHORTAGE OF MASOCHISTS, CROSS DRESSERS, AND FETISHISTS
Congressional Democrats, moderate Republicans pushing bill to shift Defense funds from weapons development to enhanced recruitment efforts to fill underrepresented parts of American society
Top Senate Democrat “reminds that US military has traditionally reflected the nation’s cross section of our population in terms of social values and modern ‘phenomena'”; GOP leadership “open to bi-partisan efforts to remedy military’s shortcomings”.

This undoubtedly sounds ‘silly’, ‘outrageous’, and as ‘just sarcastic parody’. Perhaps today, that may seem a pretty fair assessment. Three, 5, 10 years from now, will it seem simply “prophetic”?
These specific references may not come to pass but we offer it to remind people of things they thought “silly”, “outrageous”, so out of the realm of common sense, stable behavior, public acceptance just 5 years ago, maybe 10…which are now accepted, considered natural, deserving of not only tolerance but demanding of celebration, support, and encouragement!
Just such social upheaval is occurring today. It doesn’t begin with the story grabbing headlines this week, but it is now in the public arena in a major way with very dire consequences hanging in the balance.

“Some service members will come to regret having undergone the surgery and will want to detransition. Where will the military be then? Will the military pay for the sex change reversal procedure, too?”
This piece, we believe, says it as well as its possible. Written by a “former” transgender who went from male to female to male, tells the story of his/her/his own personal agony and makes an unassailable case for the disastrous consequences for our armed forces, taxpayers, all Americans, including would-be “transitioners”, if President Trump’s ban on transgenders in the military doesn’t hold.
I Was Once Transgender. Why I Think Trump Made the Right Decision for the Military
What Mr. Heyer writes about the damage to the very individuals affected by the attempt of LGBTQ advocates with the willing assistance of liberals, Democratic Party activists, and cowardly Republican congressmen should not be a surprise to thoughtful, informed people.
The damage this would do to our military effectiveness at a critical time in world affairs shouldn’t surprise anyone who has even a passing acquaintance with the mission of our armed forces.
As Heyer notes, “…our military was forged to be the world’s strongest fighting force, not a government -funded, politically correct, medical sex change clinic for people with gender dysphoria.”
Those 24 Republican House members who voted against Rep. Vicki Hartzler’s (R,MO) amendment which would have banned the military from funding such treatments should be urged by the GOP leadership to read this piece…or Republicans should be demanding of leadership to get us better candidates.
As far as Senator McCain* (?,PC)…if he doesn’t understand the needs and mission of the military by now, we wish him well in his battle with cancer, pray for his victory, and urge him devote all his energies to that fight and resign from Congress.
*McCain:Donald Trump’s position on transgender rights is incoherent, not “nuanced”
