According to Maria Chappelle-Nadal, God advised her this past Sunday that, as His personal representative, and, presumably, delegate to the Missouri state senate, He would prefer that she not advocate for the assassination of the president of the United States.
Heeding her Divine Constituency, Ms. Chappelle-Nadal apologized for having done so…something she had refused to do until she received a “message from God”…and possibly also because she’s being investigated by the Secret Service for threatening the president.
In a press conference revealing her new found humility, the senator did not reveal where the Lord’s message was delivered but some speculate that He might have sent it to her Facebook account.
The Lord apparently did not advise her to resign from her senate office…ACCORDINGLY SHE REF– USES TO.

“The message that has been sent to me by our God is that I’m here to serve as a teacher, as a translator but most of all as a servant,” she said. “I am a servant of God and I am a servant of the people that I represent. And I failed them both recently.”
“I made a mistake. And I’m owning up to it,” she added. “And I’m not ever going to make a mistake like again. I have learned my lesson. My judge and my jury is my Lord Jesus Christ.”
Amid calls for her resignation, a Democratic state senator in Missouri on Sunday said she made a mistake for posting on Facebook Thursday that she hopes President Donald Trump is assassinated.
State Sen. Maria Chappelle-Nadal — who has said she isn’t resigning over the post — apologized at a press conference streamed live on the Facebook page of the Clayton Times, a St. Louis County newspaper.
“President Trump, I apologize to you and your family,” Chappelle-Nadal said at the Wellspring Church in Ferguson, Missouri. “I also apologize to all the people in Missouri. And I also apologize to my colleagues in the Missouri legislature for the mistake that I made.”
One suspects that in her mind, — her lesson — her mistake — was posting it and getting caught, not in wishing it as such.

I’m not sure I’d be comfortable portraying myself as a conduit for the Lord’s messages. I said she played the Jesus card. I’m walking a fine line between good and bad as it is, without adding some half-assed blasphemy charge to my record.
