Newly uncovered emails appear to confirm what many Americans feared all along: The FBI investigation into Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of our national security secrets was a complete scam.
In a letter to FBI Director Christopher Wray, Senators Charles Grassley (R-IA) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) reveal that FBI officials told congressional investigators that James Comey began drafting his statement exonerating Hillary Clinton well before she was interviewed.
In fact, the timeline suggests that Comey decided to clear Clinton before FBI agents had even interviewed 16 key witnesses!
“Conclusion first, fact-gathering second — that’s no way to run an investigation. The FBI should be held to a higher standard than that, especially in a matter of such great public interest and controversy,” Grassley and Graham wrote.
No doubt you will recall that there was considerable consternation within the FBI over Comey’s handling of the Clinton investigation. Well, now we know why. It looks like it was a cover-up, not a real investigation.
This revelation is raising questions about the veracity of Comey’s Senate testimony. After all, he blamed Loretta Lynch’s tarmac meeting with Bill Clinton for his decision to go public in order to “protect the credibility of the investigation.”
But if the outcome was predetermined, then the investigation never had any credibility to protect!
Every Republican on Capitol Hill should be issuing press releases about this Comey/Clinton scandal. This story cannot be allowed to die over the holiday weekend.
Attorney General Jeff Sessions should appoint a special prosecutor to investigate James Comey, former Attorney General Loretta Lynch and the Obama-era Justice Department.
How many Republicans in leadership positions will be in the face of their counterparts who have excoriated Trump and conservative Republicans, relying on Comey’s veracity? Ridicule is an effective political technique, Democrats use it all the time. How many Republicans will exercise it as regards Hillary’s book “What Happened” a title with little serious relation to the contents?

The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC), a liberal, Alabama-based 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable organization that has gained prominence on the left for its “hate group” designations, pushes millions of dollars to offshore entities as part of its business dealings, records show.
Additionally, the nonprofit pays lucrative six-figure salaries to its top directors and key employees while spending little on legal services despite its stated intent of “fighting hate and bigotry” using litigation, education, and other forms of advocacy.
Former Iowa first lady pleads guilty to public intoxication at Iowa State Fair
Former Iowa first lady Mari Culver has pleaded guilty to public intoxication after troopers saw her swaying and stumbling at the Iowa State Fair last month, court records show.
In a statement issued Friday through her attorney, Culver expressed remorse for the actions that led to her Aug. 19 arrest on the Midway.
“I am very disappointed in myself and sorry for the embarrassment this has caused my loved ones,” Culver said. “It was a mistake, I’ve learned from it and it will not happen again.”
At least as reported, nothing from her about what the mistake was and the correctives. So what would that be, walking more adroitly? Having the correct shoes on for the Great Fair . . . as in the Melania treatment?
