- “This was slipped under our door by a faithful reader” — consider the stated source apocryphal for now

I may be mistaken but I think I read that Pope Francis doesn’t only want to change a few words in the Lord’s Prayer.
In an open letter to the Lord himself, Francis good-naturedly chided The Creator :
“Dear God”, Il Papa said, “I understand that we all make mistakes, but that one you made at the Creation was a doozy.
“That original translation was apparently correct after all. You do lead us into temptation! Now I’ll concede that may have been your way of terminating this thing You created called ‘humanity’ but in all humility (that’s my middle name, you know) I think that was a lousy way to do it…with “climate change” and by providing all those natural resources that lead Man into temptation by using them to produce Satan’s ‘fossil fuel’.
“Do not lead us into temptation” INDEED!
“It’s not personal, Lord, but I am not only going to rewrite this “Our Father” but I’m also going to make some other changes in the whole ritual accompanying the praying of it at Mass.
“This thing of the congregation joining hands in unity while reciting the prayer is one of the things I’m going to change.
“From now on, when my rewritten “Lord’s Prayer” is said at Mass, instead of joining hands, the congregation will do ‘The Wave’ to remind my, er, your flock that it is causing sea levels to rise when they allow “climate change” deniers to remain in my, er, your, church!
” I just wanted to let you know God.
