Why not let President Trump sit down for an ‘interview’ with Robert Mueller?
To my mind the best argument against it is the fact, at least in my opinion, that Robert Mueller is an unprincipled hack, carrying out the directions of the anti-Trump “Resistance Movement” in the hope of entrapment of Trump. One of the biggest laugh lines to come out at the time Mueller was named “Special Counsel” was that he was an “honorable” man. Reminds one of the dimwitted Susan Rice declaration that Bowe Bergdahl “served with honor and distinction”.
On the other hand, however, Why NOT have the president meet with Mueller?
Whatever the question…however devious the effort to entrap Trump, he could use the Hillary Clinton defense against any such inquiries: “I don’t recall”; “I’m sorry. I have no recollection of that”;” I cannot remember, it’s been so long ago'”….(Used almost 40 times in FBI interview with her about her ‘private e-mail’).
Secretary Clinton has used this ploy to great effectiveness throughout her encounters with “interviewers” over the years in one Clinton scandal after another. And, it has served her very well.( Here’s a great place to go to “refresh” your memory on how deftly Hillary Clinton handles perilous interviews, this even from CNN.

And then, there’s Marco ‘McCain’ Rubio…
“Senator Rubio says US workers get little benefit from tax reform: Report
Republican U.S. Senator Marco Rubio told the Economist magazine there is “no evidence whatsoever” the tax law significantly helped American workers.
The tax overhaul permanently cut the top corporate rate to 21 percent from 35 percent.
Tax cuts for individuals, however, are temporary and expire after 2025.”
Yes…THAT “Little Marco”!
This ought do it! Undermine the singular achievement of the GOP congress…and damage the Republican president as much as you can. The WaPo and NY Times will love ya!
Those of you who were concerned that phony Republicans were losing their biggest champion with John McCain apparently departing the senate in the fairly near future…not to worry. Somewhat like Humphrey Bogart in Casablanca…”we’ll always have Marco”.
If this little gambit isn’t enough to destroy GOP chances to hold the majorities in Congress, Rubio probably still has a few more arrows in his quiver, i.e..:
“The Iran nuclear agreement was a good deal!”, or
“Trump, tear down this wall!”, or
“Obama was a genius to get America to join the Paris Climate Accord; the US will get so much good will from the ‘community of nations’ for it.” Or,
“Stop hurting our loyal trade partners! Get back in the TPP”.
Yep…that’s our “little Marco” DLH
