. . . would they be so keen on coming here?
How’s that for blending two extremely important topics of the day — separating children, babes in arms, from their mothers at the border and the OIG report?
We expect that many Veritaspac readers watched part of, or perhaps all of, the Senate Oversight Committee hearing related to the DOJ IG report yesterday and today.
We watched a great part of this hearing, grueling as it was. And, as you might expect, we have our analysis of the hearing, its relevance to the specific issues, the responsiveness of the witnesses, the professionalism of the committee members, the anticipated media reports, and the conclusions the American people should reach based on what they saw and heard.
We consider our readers to be knowledgeable regarding current events, well-informed on the issues covered in the hearing, and fair in reaching their own analyses.
We urge each of you to give V’pac your input, both as it reflects your conclusions as well as how you believe the American public will receive the committee’s effectiveness in addressing the questions which have arisen out of the IG’s report. If anonymity is requested it will be respected. V’PAC
David Catron’s article at American Spectator has some chilling analysis about the implications of what the report says and what it concludes about the perps. As it turns out the Office of Inspector General’s report, in conclusion a whitewash as regards the FBI investigation witch-hunt into “Trump Russia” collusion, is not unlike Comey’s whitewash regarding Hilary’s e-mail scandal.
So that both could not be accused of “hiding something” or being transparent, they do indeed expose much corruption, malfeasance, political influence, extreme recklessness and the like — but in each case determine as regards the ringleaders that it was all discretionary or unintentional or just bad form or something.
They are transparent — they are transparent political operatives themselves making political decisions rather than setting forth the facts they found without recommendation. Instead they each chose to hinder prosecution with their own comments. Our DLH held forth on the implications some days ago. And sowe wonder
Why the OIG Report Should Scare the Hell Out of You
Now as regards the hoopla over “separating children from their mothers” at the border, a matter clearly propagandized by the usual suspects to get people’s attention away from the body of the OIG report and the scandal it is, we see a thorough recitation of key facts about that situation from John Nolte writing at Bretbart:
13 Facts the Media ‘Pros’ Don’t Want You to Know About ‘Family Border Separation’
Each point in the article is an important one, but this one might help those concerned about the alleged impact on legitimate asylum seekers with children who present themselves at the border: (Bold emphasis ours)
Asylum seekers who respect our laws, by turning themselves in at legal points of entry, are not being separated. Over-crowding due to the abuse of this policy might eventually make this impossible, but it is up to Congress to allocate more funds.
So with our propagandist dominant media and corrupt political law enforcement leadership one must ask asylum seekers — what confidence can you have about the long-term stability of this republic? We are asking such a question with no less impropriety than members of congress who have asked similar things as they reflect on recent revelations about corruption at the top in the DOJ and FBI.
